A nutritionist has pointed out the harms of consuming cooked breakfasts on a daily basis
Nutritionist Natalia Kruglova has warned that daily consumption of ready-made breakfasts can lead to obesity and vitamin deficiency.
In a conversation with aif.ru on Thursday, January 16, the specialist noted that ready-made breakfasts most often contain sugar, as well as various syrups. In dietetics, they are almost identical products, so they can be considered the same added sugar.
In addition, they often contain additives in the form of salt or, for example, chocolate, which is also considered excess fat. Refined flour is also used, purified from dietary fiber, it contains less B vitamins, magnesium, zinc. Such breakfasts are poor in terms of vitamins and minerals. But rich in such dishes are carbohydrates, which are quickly absorbed and do not give a sense of satiety for a long time. In this regard, according to the nutritionist, a deficiency of B vitamins, trace elements zinc, magnesium, and iron can develop.
Kruglova added that if in addition to cooked breakfasts in the diet there are other sweet products - desserts, sweet drinks, it can lead to the development of overweight and obesity.
Last November, endocrinologist Oksana Mikhaleva advised to exclude from children's diet products with a high sugar content, especially in cases where the child has a tendency to weight gain. We are talking about yogurt, milkshakes, sweet cottage cheese, glazed cheese, as well as fruit juices and sodas. Ready-made breakfasts, the doctor also referred to undesirable products. It is better to replace them with porridge and muesli without sugar with the addition of fruit, RT writes.
