Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow has ruled to recover 16 million rubles and property in the amount of 19.5 million rubles from former investigator Marat Tambiyev to the state income. This was reported by the correspondent of "Izvestia" on January 17.
The suit was filed against Tambiyev and his relative Shabagan Kurbanov.
Residential and four non-residential premises in Odintsovsky district of Moscow region, as well as motorcycles Ducati and Honda will be converted to income. It is specified that 16 million rubles will be levied as the equivalent of the property, which was acquired on unconfirmed income. It's about the residential premises in Karachay-Cherkessia, Audi Q7 and Porsche cars.
October 8, Tambiyev was sentenced to 16 years in a strict regime penal colony and a fine of Br500 million in the case of a record bribe of 2.7 thousand bitcoins (about Br7.3 billion). The sentence came into force on January 14.
Tambiyev was also stripped of the rank of major of justice and suspended for 12 years. His former assistant Christina Lyakhovenko received nine years in prison, and she was banned from holding positions in the authorities for eight years. The criminal case against them came to the Balashikha City Court of Moscow region on June 13. The former investigator himself did not admit his guilt.
The investigation found that from 2020 to 2022, Tambiyev, as part of an organized group, extorted a bribe from members of the hacker group Infraud Organization for the termination of their criminal prosecution and the opportunity to hide cryptocurrency, which amounts to 14 billion rubles. The criminal case involves the largest bribe in the history of the Russian Federation.
On January 9, bailiffs began to turn more than 1 billion rubles in bitcoins, which is Tambiyev's seized property, into state revenue.
