The unemployment rate in the Central Federal District of Russia (CFD) has reached a minimum of 1.6%, according to the Central Bank's report on the regional economy (analyzed by Izvestia). The indicator gradually declined throughout last year: in January it amounted to 2.2%, in summer it was already at the level of 1.8%. And in October, according to the latest current data, it dropped to 1.6%.
The situation on the labor market varies considerably by regions of Russia. The Bank of Russia collects data from its seven main departments in different parts of the country. According to its data, the highest unemployment in October was in the south - 4.5% and in Siberia - 2.9%.
