В России предлагают запретить рекламу безалкогольного пива
It is proposed that advertising of non-alcoholic beer on television and radio in Russia should be banned, subject to the same restrictions as for alcoholic beer. Such a bill will soon be submitted to the State Duma by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs. The document was familiarized with "Izvestia".
It reports that according to federal legislation, non-alcoholic beer today is considered a drink that contains no more than 0.5% of the volume of ethyl alcohol. It does not fall under the definition of alcoholic beverages and strict restrictions on advertising. At the same time, its production is practically no different from the manufacture of an ordinary drink, which is simply deprived of degrees after double filtration. At the same time, its release is engaged, as a rule, the same companies that produce beer, the document specifies.
"Advertising of non-alcoholic beer today should only meet the general requirements for advertising of any goods. At the same time, in our opinion, it is a hidden advertising of alcohol and alcoholic brands and it should be subject to the same requirements that are established for beer," - noted in the explanatory note to the bill.
At the moment only advertising of wine, fortified wine and sparkling wine from Russian grapes from 23:00 to 7:00 local time is allowed on TV and radio programs.
The document also reports that producers of non-alcoholic beer often claim that their product can help fight beer addiction and alcoholism in general, as it retains the taste and flavor of regular beer, but does not contain ethanol. However, according to the initiative's authors, this is not true and consumption of non-alcoholic beer can support addictive behavior.
